Will McGill, Certified Water Right Examiner, Professional Land Surveyor

With 30 years of experience at the Oregon Department of Transportation working in the engineering design section as a licensed surveyor, Will knows how to identify the technical issues. Farming on the side and eventually pursuing it as a full-time second career gave him a special appreciation for water rights that others may not have. After becoming a licensed CWRE in 2011, Will has specialized in irrigation water rights for the agricultural community in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. He is a member of a local water control district and an irrigation cooperative.

Doann Hamilton, Certified Water Right Examiner, Registered Geologist

Holding a BS in Forestry (Texas A&M), BS in Geology (Portland State), and MS in Geology (Portland State), Doann naturally landed a career in environmental tech where she worked for 17 years. In 2012, while working with Pacific Hydro-Geology, she obtained her CWRE license. She has become a household name to farms across the Willamette Valley due to her expertise in water rights. Doann started with McGill Water Rights in late 2025 and continues to diligently provide reliable service to many water users across the state.

Grant McGill, Owner, Water Right and GIS Specialist

After obtaining a BA from George Fox University and pursuing a post-college career in business marketing and management, Grant realized that he had a passion for the agriculture industry that he grew up around. With some training in GIS mapping and survey-grade GPS, he decided that his skills were primed to help farmers find water right solutions. After a few years of part-time work, Grant started water right consulting full-time in 2018. Keeping up with the rapidly changing climate of natural resources in Oregon has proven to be a challenge, but there is great reward in finding water solutions that allow your property to reach full potential.
